15,000,000 Vietnamese dong (or 550 US dollars) will be used as a security deposit. This amount will be deducted for fuel, ETC, traffic violation fines, etc., and the remaining balance will be refunded to Party B within 15 days after the trip is completed. For vehicles using gasoline/diesel: ● The CAR LESSEE needs to return the car with the fuel gauge at the same level as when they received it. If the car is returned with less fuel than when it was received, the cost for the difference will be calculated at a rate of 25,000 VND per liter. ● Do not overfill the tank when refueling. ● The vehicle is limited to 300 kilometers per day (24 hours) of rental. ● Each kilometer beyond the specified limit incurs a charge of 5,000 VND. Extend rental period or late payment: ● Depending on the vehicle’s availability, the LESSEE can extend the rental period by at least 1 hour before the trip ends, with OTOD’s approval. ● In case the LESSEE does not follow the agreed-upon return time or intentionally returns the vehicle late without OTOD’s consent, the LESSEE will incur a late return fee of 150,000 VND per hour for regular days and 400,000 VND for holidays.

Driver license requirements

Vietnam recognizes the International Driving Permit (IDP) only if it follows the 1968 convention. Tourist visa holders must provide a notarized Vietnamese translation of their IDP for the traffic police to accept it. If you are on a business or long-term visa, you must convert your license to a Vietnamese one, which requires a local residence permit. It is recommended to carry an International Driving Permit (IDP).

Insurance details:

- In case of any incidents during the rental period that require inspection or repair of the car, Party A can request Party B’s participation in the process, including but not limited to contacting insurance or participating in assessments. Any additional agreements between the parties must be documented in writing. ● If there is a loss that requires more time for assessment, OTOD will inform the CAR LESSEE and has the right to retain the collateral until the matter is resolved. If the collateral amount is insufficient to cover these payments, the CAR LESSEE must pay the remaining balance.
