Driver license requirements

Foreign driving licenses are valid in the Philippines for up to 90 days after arrival. Beyond 90 days, you must convert your foreign license to a local one. Plan accordingly if your stay is longer than three months. It is recommended to carry an International Driving Permit (IDP).

Insurance & Liability • The vehicle is covered by Comprehensive Insurance including Third Party Liability (TPL). • Insurance does not cover: • Reckless or drunk driving • Use of vehicle for illegal activities • Unauthorized drivers (not declared in this agreement) • Damages due to negligence (e.g., off-road use, overloading) • In case of an accident: • The renter must immediately notify the owner. • Renter must secure a police report and other necessary documents for insurance claims. • Deductible / Participation Fee required by the insurance company shall be charged to the renter. • Any damage or loss not covered by insurance will be the renter’s responsibility.
