Terms and Conditions for Self-Drive Car Rentals Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using our self-drive car rental services. By renting a vehicle from us, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions. 1. Rental Agreement 1.1. Eligibility: Renters must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver's license for at least two years. 1.2. Documentation: Renters must present a valid driver's license, national ID or passport, and a credit card in their name at the time of rental. 1.3. Provide proof of billing. 2. Booking and Payment 2.1. Reservation: Reservations can be made online, by phone, or in person. 2.2. Payment: Full payment or a deposit is required at the time of booking. 2.3. Security Deposit: A refundable security deposit is required. 3. Vehicle Usage 3.1. Permitted Use: The vehicle may only be used for lawful purposes. It is prohibited to use the vehicle for racing, towing, or any commercial activities without prior written consent. 3.2. Authorized Drivers: Only the renter and additional drivers listed in the rental agreement are permitted to drive the vehicle. 3.3. Mileage Limit: The rental includes a mileage limit. Additional charges may apply for excess mileage. 3.4. Fuel Policy: The vehicle must be returned with the same level of fuel as at the time of rental. Refueling charges may apply if not returned accordingly. 4. Vehicle Condition 4.1. Inspection: Renters are responsible for inspecting the vehicle for any existing damage before driving. Any damages must be reported to the rental company before leaving the premises. 4.2. Maintenance: Renters are responsible for maintaining the vehicle in good condition during the rental period. This includes regular checks on tire pressure, oil, and water levels. 4.3. Damage or Loss: Renters are responsible for any damage, loss, or theft of the vehicle during the rental period. Additional charges may apply for repairs, towing, or replacement. 5. Insurance and Liability 5.1. Insurance Coverage: Basic insurance coverage is included in the rental. Additional insurance options are available for purchase. 5.2. Accidents: In the event of an accident, renters must immediately notify the rental company and provide a police report. Renters must not admit liability or settle any claims without the rental company's consent. 6. Return of Vehicle 6.1. Return Time: The vehicle must be returned at the agreed time and location. Late returns may incur additional charges. 6.2. Vehicle Condition: The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as when rented, with all accessories and documents. Cleaning fees may apply if the vehicle is excessively dirty. 7. Cancellation and Modifications 7.1. Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the rental start time are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours may incur a cancellation fee. 7.2. Modifications: Changes to the rental agreement, such as extending the rental period or adding additional drivers, must be approved by the rental company and may incur additional charges. 8. Termination of Agreement 8.1. Violation of Terms: The rental company reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement and repossess the vehicle if the renter violates any terms and conditions or engages in illegal activities. 8.2. Early Termination: Renters may terminate the rental agreement early, but no refunds will be provided for unused rental days. 9. Dispute Resolution 9.1. Governing Law: These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Philippines. 9.2. Arbitration: Any disputes arising from the rental agreement will be resolved through binding arbitration. 10. Miscellaneous 10.1. Amendments: The rental company reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Updated terms will be provided to renters.
