Driver license requirements

Foreign driving licenses are valid in the Philippines for up to 90 days after arrival. Beyond 90 days, you must convert your foreign license to a local one. Plan accordingly if your stay is longer than three months. It is recommended to carry an International Driving Permit (IDP).

Insurance details:

1. Comprehensive Insurance This vehicle is covered with Comprehensive Insurance, including damage due to accident, fire, and theft. 2. Participation Fee (Deductible) In case of damage or accident, the renter shall shoulder the insurance participation fee (usually ₱3,000–₱5,000 depending on the damage and insurer policy), plus any applicable depreciation cost as assessed. 3. Not Covered by Insurance The renter will be fully liable for repair costs if the damage is due to: • Drunk driving or drug use • Unauthorized driver (not listed in rental agreement) • Reckless or off-road driving • Intentional damage • Lost/damaged tires, tools, or accessories 4. Police Report Requirement For any accident, theft, or damage, the renter must file a police report within 24 hours and notify the owner immediately. Failure to do so may void insurance claims. 5. Towing and Transport Towing fees (if needed) due to renter’s negligence will be charged to the renter.
