CAR INSURANCE CONDITIONS Underwritten by Corporate Guarantee and Insurance Company (CGIC) --- 1. Coverage The vehicle is covered under a Comprehensive Motor Vehicle Insurance Policy, which includes: Own Damage (OD) – Covers accidental damage to the insured vehicle. Third-Party Liability (TPL) – Covers injury or property damage to others. Theft – Coverage against loss due to theft or carnapping. Acts of Nature (AON) – Optional coverage for natural disasters (flood, typhoon, earthquake, etc.). Auto Passenger Personal Accident Insurance – Optional, covers medical expenses or death for passengers. --- 2. Participation Fee / Deductible In the event of a claim, the insured (or renter, if applicable) is responsible for: Own Damage Deductible: 1% of the Vehicle’s Fair Market Value or Php 3,000, whichever is higher. Acts of Nature Deductible (if included): 2% of the Vehicle’s Fair Market Value --- 3. Policyholder / Renter Responsibilities Report any accident, damage, or loss within 24 hours. Secure a police report for accidents, theft, or third-party involvement. Submit a written incident report, photos, and supporting documents. Ensure the driver has a valid license at the time of incident. Follow CGIC claims process and cooperate during assessment. --- 4. Exclusions (What is Not Covered) The insurance will not cover: Damage from driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Use of vehicle for racing, towing, or commercial hire without proper disclosure. Unauthorized drivers operating the vehicle. Wear and tear, mechanical failure, or cosmetic damage not due to an accident. Damage due to intentional acts or criminal activity. Interior damage, including rips, stains, or burns (unless caused by a covered peril). --- 5. Voiding of Coverage Insurance coverage is void if: The vehicle was operated by someone without a valid driver’s license. The incident is not reported within the required time frame. There is fraud or misrepresentation in the claims process. Vehicle was used outside the terms of the rental or insurance policy. --- 6. Third-Party Liability CGIC will pay claims for bodily injury or property damage to third parties up to the limits set in the policy. The insured may be liable for any amount in excess of the TPL coverage.
