Renter is responsible for obtaining and maintaining adequate insurance coverage for the duration of the rental period. The following insurance details apply: Renter’s Insurance Renter is strongly encouraged to carry renters or travel insurance that covers personal property loss, theft, accidental damage, trip interruption, and personal liability. Owner or property manager is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to renter’s personal belongings. Liability Coverage Renter assumes full responsibility for the actions of all occupants and guests during the rental period. Any damage caused to the property, furnishings, appliances, or common areas by renter or guests may be charged to renter. Renter may be held liable for bodily injury or property damage resulting from negligent or unlawful acts. Property Owner Insurance The property owner maintains insurance coverage on the building and owner-owned property only. Owner’s insurance does not provide coverage for renter’s personal belongings, vehicles, or liability exposures. Vehicle and Parking Any vehicles parked on the premises are at renter’s risk. Owner is not liable for theft, vandalism, collision, or damage involving renter or guest vehicles. Recommended Optional CoveragesRenter may wish to obtain: Personal property coverage Personal liability coverage Medical payments coverage Trip cancellation/interruption insurance Pet liability coverage, if applicable Indemnification Renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the owner/property manager from claims, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising from renter’s occupancy, negligence, or misuse of the premises, except where prohibited by law. Claims and Reporting Any incident involving injury, property damage, theft, fire, water damage, or criminal activity must be reported to the owner/property manager immediately and to the appropriate insurance carrier when applicable. No Representation of Coverage Owner/property manager makes no representation regarding the adequacy of any insurance obtained by renter and recommends consulting a licensed insurance professional for guidance.
